It goes on foot through Tirolo, from where a picturesque promenade meanders along the slope to Castle Tyrol. Past grapevines and through a tunnel carved into the rock you still have to cross the “Köstengraben”, from there you go up to the castle.
The South Tyrolean Museum awaits you with unique exhibits from all over South Tyrol, which date from a period from the Stone Age to the modern era. The historic walls of Castle Tyrol with its modern museum facilities offer an ideal ambience for this, you can wander through the whole castle from the majestic knight’s hall to in amazement up to the keep.
