My Chalet Magdalena in Avelengo/Hafling: An enchanting mountain chalet in the skiing and hiking area of Merano 2000
My fabulous Chalet Magdalena is located in an extraordinarily sunny, quiet, simply gorgeous spot in the middle of the mountains of the Merano countryside. It is a newly renovated, rustic house, equipped with every comfort and surrounded by an amazing coniferous forest. It was built of granite stones, "blocked" with wood and covered with a traditional South Tyrolean shingle roof. A real gem, in my opinion! It can be reached in only 5 minutes on foot from Falzeben (Avelengo/Hafling) by a private path and is surrounded by 4 hectares of forest and a beautiful sunbathing lawn... Well, if that doesn't sound wonderful!
Pure idyll. Pure happiness.
The location is unique: on the one hand it is quiet, in the middle of the forest, and on the other hand it is a good starting point to discover Hafling and Merano 2000 from its most beautiful side. In winter, the Merano 2000 ski area is right on the doorstep (100 metres) and in the warmer months I am already in the middle of the hiking area. From spring to late autumn, I can reach the chalet by car via a forest road. In winter, my luggage is brought to the chalet by snowmobile. It doesn't get any more comfortable than that, does it?
A sunny lawn, a terrace and beautiful views - that's all I need to relax. And if I want to be active, I start hiking, biking or skiing directly from the chalet. Or I can get in the car and reach the spa town of Merano in 20 minutes... shopping and culture are the order of the day!
My family holiday in Hafling.
For my holiday in the middle of nature and with my whole family, I choose Chalet Magdalena. In addition to numerous family-friendly hiking and biking trails, there are many other ways to experience an exciting summer holiday together as a family in the nearby surroundings. How about a ride on the summer toboggan run, for example? Or with a swim in one of the natural lakes? Or with a day of rafting in the Passeier valley? Here you are spoilt for choice... because also a ride on the famous Haflinger horses is always very popular with children and there are enough riding stables here! Explore the forest, read tracks and go camping in the woods...
